FYI: Jazz and instrumentals work well for this. Dinner is also a great time to play the music you love that is not dance music. Some good selections may be from 90's, Motown, country, alternatives, classic rock, RnB, etc. You can play most things as long as you keep it at a good volume that allows the guests to talk with each other.

To start the dancing with a packed dance floor, we suggest letting your DJ invite all guests to join the newlyweds for a song together. We will play a popular slow song then transition into dance music.

Music For Bouquet & Garter Toss

FYI: About one in ten couples will elect to have a bouquet and garter toss. If you choose to, it is recommended that it be reserved for guests over 18 years old.

Reception Music

The music played at your reception will help set the mood for the entire night. We are knowledgeable and well-rounded in a plethora of songs and genres. We have years of experience getting people on the dance floor and making sure that guests are happy and enjoying the music.

While you are free to choose as much music as you'd like for your wedding reception, it is highly recommended that you trust your DJ. At Sterling Silver Sound, you work with a professional, experienced wedding DJ who can keep the party going. We strongly suggest you allow the DJ to mix some of your suggestions with your guests' requests and other selections to create a fun-filled night that is uniquely yours.

Are there any songs that you do not want to be played? When choosing a song that you DO NOT want played, try not to choose hugely popular songs. Certain "wedding songs" are popular because people love to dance to them.

Are there any songs that you ABSOLUTELY want played? You must hear these songs at your wedding reception regardless of whether people dance to them. Please remember, we can typically play 13-15 songs per hour).

Please list some songs that you'd like to hear, but only if people dance to them. In other words, you won't get mad at your DJ if all of these songs are not played.
